I have been trying to capture photos of the girls doing the cute stuff that they do, but once the camera is out, well, they stop and Claire is more concerned with taking a picture herself. :)
So I will give verbal discriptions of what they are doing!
Sophia as "little sister": She loves her big sister and it is so much fun to see her respond to another person in her life. She does get mad if Claire takes something from her!
Sophia as "eater": She has been eating a lot more solid food! yeah! It was a long time coming, but now it seems as she is never full. Her favorite food is yogurt; just like her sister!
Sophia "sitting up": She is strong now and does not tip over very easily. She is starting to "scoot" around on tummy and using her feet, but she is still a ways from crawling.
Sophia "sleeping": She sleeps through night most of the time! Yeah!
Sophia "teething": She does have one small tooth!
Claire as "big sister": What a good sister, overall. She likes to sit behind her now and rock with her. She is always thinking of her sister and her needs, but sometimes I need to remind Claire that Sophia is not her doll!Claire as "talker": Wow, she is saying so much. Some jiberish, some full sentences. She surprised me yesterday by saying "There my potty in bathroom." ! SHe is also starting to say her name, "Lair."
Claire as "friend": She loves her friends. It is not uncommon for her to call them on her play phone and talk with them and when we go somewhere, she asks to go to their house.
Claire and fashion: She is a bit particular about what she wears these days. She loves shoes, layers, sweatshirts, hoods, and vests. She has a preference about anything that she wears these days!
Claire and attempt at potty training: Yeah, just an attempt. I have been potty training since her birthday (almost 4 weeks ago now) and we have only had 3 successes. I think that we are you to give up for a little bit.
Joshua: He has been home for the past month and is getting "antsy." It has been good to have him here to help with the girls and get to know them a better. Sophia responds with smiles to him more than me. He has been using this time to prepare more for Wednesday night Youth Group and of course helping out here at home.Stephanie: I am substituting at the school here and there and am going to helping with the testing later in April. It is so convienent as Joshua is home right now and we live right across from the school. It felt good to be in the schools again. I am also trying to get up early to have time alone before the day begins. If you think of me, pray for this time. I really enjoy getting up and reading the Word of God and preparing myself for the day. But of course it is hard to get up so early. In the next month, my brother and his wife are going to have a baby! so my mom, sister, myself and the girls are going to go visit them. Claire and Sophia will have their first plane trip.
THE MOVE: We can post more details later, but the Lord is leading us to move to Indiana. It looks as though we will move in August. We are going to miss Grand Marais, but we are excited for what the Lord is going to do during our time down in Indiana.
(I am still waiting to get pics from Claire's 2nd birthday on March 8th. My sister was the photographer.)
