Growing Girls' Stories

I am sorry that I have not posted recently. We misplaced our battery charger for our camera and since I couldn't post pics, I didn't post at all....anyway, I am still not posting pics, but thought I would update things going on here:

Claire is talking a mile-a-minute: sentences and all. She will continue to repeat what she said until there is a response from me. I have become a very good listener :) It is really fun to hear her talk and try new words. It is really funny to hear her when she is "talking on the phone." She will use phrases like, "hold on a minute" and "I'll be right back."

She is beginning to recognize letters and knows that "S" is for Sophia (Vee-a) and "C" is for Claire (Laire). She is also in a world of colors. She recognizes all of her colors and will point them out in random places. It also makes her world a little more difficult as she desires certain color clothes, cups, socks, plates, food, labels....anything that holds her favorite color of the day.

Sophia is finally eating and gaining weight. She gained a pound and a half this past month and no wonder!! She eats more than her sis and is way beyond pureed food. She wants and expects the real deal! It is nice for me to be able to let her feed herself. In fact, I rarely have to feed her anything. She is working on her 4th tooth right now and is a really bad teether. It bothers her most night, giving us all less sleep.

She is on the move, crawling to keep up with everyone in the house. Pulling herself up onto most things and loves it! I think the world is so much brighter to be upright! Sophia's biggest joy is her big sister! Her whole body shows her excitement when Claire walks in the room. They are both very good to each other and it is such a blessing to see our two girls as friends.
