We're aren't in Kansas anymore Toto!

Well, we never were in Kansas, but life here in Muncie, IN is so much more different than it was in Grand Marais, that the comparison fits! I had to run a few errands today and it took me 2 hours! Pray that I won't always be overstimilated and have a headache when I return from Walmart!
Our house is a blessing to have, but it needs some cleaning and some fresh coats of paint. In a way I don't mind, because it makes it my own home.
The girls are doing fine, but don't sleep the best at night due to the new situation, new noises, and new bed.
If you have not heard yet, our car over heated and died about a hour away from Muncie! It needs a new engine...totaling about $2,800. If our car had been good to us, then maybe it would be worth it, but we have had to put a lot into this car over the past few years. We had talked about getting rid of it, but I guess God took care of that for us! Pray for wisdom and discernment , but also a quick solution on a new form of transportation....esp since my sister is getting married in a week and a half and there will be some traveling with that event.

Call us anytime. We don't have internet connection at home, so it will be somewhat hit and miss for me. I miss my friends in Grand Marais, but am so blessed by the love showed by everyone during our move and am overwhelmed with the peace I have....peace that surpasses all understanding! Praise the Lord.

p.s. When I unpack the camera, I will post pics of our "unpacking" home. (Stephanie)

Pulling out of Grand Marais on Thursday morning, we said a short, but powerful prayer. It was four simple words. "Dear God, Thank You". Thats all I got out until my eyes started to get a little cloudy for some reason. We left town with very, very heavy hearts but there also was an overwelhming peace too. The last few weeks we have be blown away from God's provision in every area of our lives: physical, spiritual and material. There is a song that goes something like this, "every blessing He pours out I'll turn back to praise". So I would like to do that now. We thank God for our friends who are now family in Grand Marais, who walked through this whole process of moving with us, prayed with us, challeged us, corrected us, encouraged us. Thanks to God for the Evangelical Free Church of Grand Marais for supporting us in our ministry with the youth there, for the house to live in rent free, for the montary gift, for the affirimation of us leaving and following God's leading to IN, for the use of the church's van to move us down, and covering the cost of gas for the van as well, and all the encourgement. We also thank the Muncie Alliance Church/internship for setting us up with a house to call home, rent free, bill free right next to church, for picking us up in Indy when our car blew up, stocking our fridge with meals and food, for Daryl and Judy letting us use their car while we don't have one. For the work that Alliance World Coffee is going to provide for me. Im sure I missed a lot too, but I say all this to thank God our father who loves us. I pray that this will be encourage, and challenge those who are walking with God. And also that it will testify that their is a living God. This past sunday's sermon was great. Basicly said this that God is searching the whole world for His children who are ready to follow Him. He will lead them to risk and adventure, while the whole world is watching saying "thats not very smart don't do that". He will bless you so that your life will be a testimony of Himself and how He works in awsome ways. So that more people will come to Him and know His Son Jesus Christ. (Joshua)

Hello! I have been thinking about and praying for you a lot today. Hope this day has been as much of a blessing as those you have written about. Bummer about he car! Subaru's seem to be good...

Reading your post brought me back to the days we left GM. It is not without tears, yet it is with peace when it is God's will and not our own.

If, at your age, we had traveled two long days with an infant and toddler, leaving our friends and home behind for a new, unknown home, only to have our car self-destruct 40 minutes from our destination, Gayle said, "I would have been in tears and you would have been throwing things." I am sorry to say she is right. We were both encouraged and challenged by your peace and patience under fire. God has set you on this path and your trust in his provision and lovingkindness is well placed. Stay faithful and hopeful... he will provide.

Blessings,
Dave (and Gayle)
