We found the BEST sweet corn place just down the road from us! The girls ate a whole cob on their own....I was wishing we had more. :) Fresh produce has been a great thing as we are adjusting to life here. There are TONS of tomatoes in the intern garden, and I have used some to make salsa and speghetti sauce. Since we have so much time til frost, I have also planted radishes, lettuce, spinach, and peas. There is also a very large farmers market on Saturday and we plan on checking that out this weekend. Apples are another item which are almost ready for canning!!!

We are also getting things painted and unpacked. Although we are so blessed for this housing to be provided for us, it still needed some TLC. The kitchen is small and was painated a yellowish tan, brown, and burgundy. I wish I would have taken before and after photos so you could have seen how lighter paint can transform this room. We painted the walls yellow and white, and the cupboards are white with a powder blue doors.
Last night some neighbors came over and walked us around the neighborhood. This couple has a two year old girl. It was very welcoming to feel like part of another community other than our church community. There was a small pond where the girls fed the small fish crackers that we brought. Enjoy the pics and as I figure out this camera I will post more. We love and miss you all!!!

We love the new kitchen color. It definitely cheers the place up! We are envious of your growing season. We won't even get one crop of ripe tomatoes this year. Glad to hear you're connecting with the neighborhood.
God's Blessings,
Dave and Gayle
