This week in the Lindstrom household, we have taken away Sophia's pacifier. After lots of prayer and mental support, I felt we were ready for this undertaking! So Monday morning, we put them away. And said "bye-bye." Sophia will still ask for them at bed and nap time, but she is sleeping though the night! It does take her a about 20 minutes at nap time to calm down and she doesn't nap as long without it.....and at bed time she talks for along time now til she falls asleep, but I am amazed at how well this transition is going! Not having to get up and give it back to her in the middle of the night was my main motivator! YEAH!
She of course now looks more like a little girl! Her vocabulary has increased this week and is using the potty a lot! Initiating it on her own at times! The best part tonight was when she asked me about getting her ears pierced! and she wanted "knuckles!" (where we knock our fists together, similar to a high five) Yes, she wants her ears pierced. I know this because she says, "Me, ears mommy" :) Even when I tell her that it hurts a little she said "yes, me!" So we made a deal that we would take about it again when she turns 4!
