The "Middle" Child

There is something to be said about the middle child being ignored.  With a little brother who still needs a lot of care, and a talkative older sister, Sophia patiently asks for attention.  Well, she has been more patient until recently. 

Well this middle child is sweet and affectionate.  She LOVES cuddling, and will at times get up early just so she can climb into bed with you.  When I am sad about something, Sophia will quickly come up and give me a hug!  Quickly and unashamedly.  Tonight she could not fall asleep and she walks out and says, "Mom, will you cuddle with me?"  I could not resist that.

Sophia is also a story teller, retelling a storybook over and over, using the pictures as her guide.  

She is becoming more and more independant, but wants to sit in my lap any time of the day.  

I love that she will wear blue jeans, despite the fact that her older sister tries to pick her out some fancy clothes.  

This is truly a special little girl.
