For the record, Claire is not potty trained yet. She has gone on the potty once and will wear underware, but that is it!
Rough week for me (Stephanie). It is encouraging though to see Joshua enjoying his classes and seeking out relationships with some great teachers of the Word. He has also been praying about some community outreach and the possibility of going into detention centers. Pray for guideance as he seeks the Lord on this. We have some friends who are connected with Straight Ahead Ministries whose focus is going into youth detention centers, building relationships, sharing the gospel, and discipleship, so Josh has been able to talk to them about this.
A huge praise as Claire has a matress now! We only moved with one crib size matress so Claire has been using the couch cushions on her bed frame. But the Lord provided one for us this week through someone we met at church.
I am missing Grand Marais a lot right now. I realize that my "friend seach" is somewhat in vain. Not that we haven't met some great people here, but that my need is so much more than a friend. We left behind so many wonderful relationships when we moved from Grand Marais, that I don't think a friend could fill that void. From game night at the Stoddards to youth dropping in...we miss it and YOU all! We had so many great relationships with people of all ages. And we needed you guys.

I have heard your sense of loss in your last two posts. The downside of love is the pain of parting. Sorry it hurts and we'll pray for encouragement and new friends.
Perhaps someone can watch the kids and you can take a class at the school for something to do and to meet other adults.
Praying for you all,
Dave and Gayle
