So we headed up to Marquette, MI last weekend for a variety of reasons...the most interesting to others is to watch the UP 200 sled dog race. We bundled up, and with family and friends along, we watched the 33 teams start in downtown Marquette. Our friends, Woody Seim and Rachael Bohnen, drove over from WI and MN to watch the race and enjoy the season with us!

Claire and Sophia had a great time visiting with their Nanny and Bop (Grandma & Grandpa)
The girls spent all day Sat. with Nanny and Bop and we were also able to head out to see other various points in the race.
Fun in MI comes in the form of sledding in the yard! Bop made trails for the girls to play in.
Another activity that we got to be a part of was a winter hike into seeing an ice cave. It was a great weekend! We enjoyed every moment and didn't want to leave.
To those who are U.P. illiterate, "Yooper" is referring to the people from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
